If you’re a grad student working on language, or a faculty member working with grad students who are working on language, you might find this opportunity interesting. Janet Werker will be teaching a graduate course (PSYC 584A-001) on Language Development in Infancy and Childhood in Winter Term 2, which is open to students from any department. As part of the course, five eminent guest speakers will be coming to UBC to give lectures and participate in the class: Krista Byers-Heinlein (Concordia), Michael C. Frank (Stanford), Jenny Saffran (Wisconsin), Simon Fisher (Max Planck), and Sandy Waxman (Northwestern). The lectures will be open to the public, and will be on January 24, February 7, February 28, March 14, and March 28 (location TBD).
